Announcements from December 7:Â
🌼 Altar Flowers – The altar flowers are given in memory of Ilah Holmberg by Donald and Pat.
🕯️ Sanctuary Lamp – The Sanctuary Lamp is available for memorials or birthdays. Please let the office know if you are interested.
Sunday: VASA meets at 2 PM.
Wednesday: Bible Study meets at 10:30 AM.
Wednesday: Advent Midweek Spoken Eucharist will be held at 12:00 PM in the chapel.
Next Sunday: Our Annual Meeting will take place immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall. Martin’s chicken will be provided—please bring a dish to share. Committee chairs, please submit your reports by Wednesday to the church email.
Next Sunday: Luciafest at 3 PM—a celebration of the life of the early third-century martyr, Lucia.
“Socks for Suellen”—our annual collection of warm winter wear for Broadway and Hope—has resumed. Please place donations in the basket by the Fifth Sunday Cross.
Breakfast for Broadway: Join us on December 29 to serve a hearty meal to our neighbors in need. If you are interested in donating milk, orange juice, or other breakfast items, please talk to John Miller.
Christmas Flowers and Music: If you wish to order poinsettias or contribute toward special Christmas music in memory or thanksgiving, please complete the donation form on the table in the Gathering Area and return it to the office by December 21. Thank you!

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, located at 225 East Haney Avenue in South Bend, Indiana, is a welcoming congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Led by Rev. Patrick Ballard, the church offers Holy Communion services on Sundays. The community is active in ministry, embracing Lutheran teachings and traditions to support spiritual growth and well-being.Â
